This is the blog page i put together. I struggled with a theme. Overall this journal is based off of Orientalism. Orientalism is a term used for the imitation or depiction of aspects of Eastern cultures in the West by writers, designers and artists, as well as having other meanings. In particular, Orientalist painting, depicting more specifically "the Middle East including North Africa", was one of the many specialisms of 19th century Academic art. I was keeping my eyes open for pieces that deal with race and different cultures. That was the Topic I learned about and presented while overseas. Some of the art that is placed in my journal is very random but yet still pretty interesting. although I may get off subject, be sure to follow along with each page listed at the top. Please leave feed back also.
